fun time of year to play dress up and creatively be anything you have

If you are not the handy or crafty type - buying a costume may be your
only option. Costumes range from $20 to as much as
hundreds of dollars. Halloween costume shoppers typically select
costumes priced at $30 or less. Unless you have a specific
costume in mind or need a hard to find size - you can easily find a

October the Halloween Shops open across the country offering a variety
of costumes at top dollar. Many people prefer to buy online to
find more selections, cheaper prices, more sizes and less hassle.
Shopping online is an easy way to find bargains. Regardless of

should be a time of fun and laughs. To keep you in good spirits

Once you
have selected the costume you want to buy always check and compare
prices. Some stores really jack up the prices with made up
retail prices that are sometimes four times the wholesale cost!
They may advertise a sale or discount that is based on grossly
overstated prices.
Carefully review the posted size
charts. Generally
Halloween costumes for women are
not refundable but many stores offer you the option to exchange
sizes. This can be costly as you generally have to pay to
ship the item back and pay shipping again for the new size.
Save yourself this hassle by getting the size right the first
time. Always opt for too big as apposed to too small. You
can always pin your costume or wear something under it but you
can't stretch a costume that is too small!
Try to plan
ahead. Sometimes parties or events are spur of the moment
but this generally means you will pay more. 2nd Day Air or
Overnight can add substantially to the price you pay online.
Always
communicate with your online merchant as to when you need your
costume. They will generally assume that you need it for the
actual day of Halloween and mark their shipping options
accordingly. If this is not the case - you will need to let
them know with a note on your order. Decent merchants will
let you know if they can not accommodate you or assist you will other
shipping options.
Many times the
accessories in the costume pictures are NOT included. Read
the descriptions carefully!
If you need to
purchase other accessories don't forget to include them in your
shopping cart. It may make sense to buy all of your items at
once (i.e. panty hose, hats, etc) to save you a trip to the store
and avoid extra shipping charges.
If you have to
exchange a size or an item is received damaged let the merchant
know as soon as possible. If you wait too long you may not
be able to return it...especially if it is AFTER Halloween.
They will assume you wore it and you will not be permitted to
return the item.
